SO Here we are. It has been a few weeks, and I definitely kept y’all in the dark. Where was all of this wrestling talk going? Well, here we are. Now I will say that this piece to me is not finished. I need to add their name in Japanese. I also want to make it look similar to the “Forgotten Worlds game cover. You know, make it look like the letters are made with dirt/rocks. Their name is “The Iron Syndicate,” but I thought it would be fun to call them “Los Culi Ca-Gao”. It’s what my uncle would tell me not to be when I was being annoying when I was a little kid, more so when I was pouting, and or having a tantrum. The way he’d say it would be” Mira so sea tan Culicagao”. It’s a phrase we still say to each other, and it always cracks me up. Just call someone that, it may make you laugh. Ha! Anyway, I was really excited to put these illustrations together since I saw something within my sketchpad. I saw a collection of my drawings that I thought I could put all of these together. So I had drawn that chibi” Gundam” head and the “Mazinger Zeto” head in that very organic style. I had drawn the bodies separately and thought about putting them together. I also drew Ultraman, and I really liked the way I drew the body, so I repurposed it. Gave it a “Veautiful Joe” look. I also enjoyed the mask I had made up for a new character called “Michief”. I just drew a masked inspired by some Tokusatsu villain via Pinterest. After I made the initial concept, I just put it together. It was HELLA fun drawing these guys. They don’t have any deep meaning, just more of an homage to wrestling and their stories. Imagine if these guys ALL came from the same dimension and were the antagonist to my caped wrestler(that's the big one in the middle). And now here on earth, they are the good guys, and my caped wrestler was the bad guys?. The tables flipped because of public favor. I don’t know. It’s a fun story I think about. Imagine what their matches are like. Would like to animate, but that requires a lot of my time. How do you imagine they wrestle?
Im not sure how I feel about theblue elipse behind the text. Maybe I’ll change it if it really bothers me.I will have prints on imprnt soon.
